Advantages of silicone mold in industry applications

Silicone mold Principle:
Firstly, the prototype part of the product is made by 3D printing or CNC machining, and the liquid silicone raw material of the mold is used for vacuum casting with PU, polyurethane resin, epoxy resin, transparent PU, POM like, rubber like, PA like, PE like, ABS and other materials, in order to replicate the same copy as the prototype part. If there are color requirements, pigments can also be added to the casting materials, and dyeing or painting can be carried out in the later stage of the product to achieve different colors of the parts.

The silicone mold replication process is widely used in fields such as aerospace, automotive, home appliances, toys, and medical devices. Suitable for the trial production of small batches (20-30 pieces) of samples during the development stage of new products, specifically used for performance testing, vehicle road testing, and other trial production work of small batches of plastic parts in the research and design process of automotive components. Common plastic parts in automobiles, such as air conditioning housings, bumpers, air ducts, rubber coated air doors, intake manifolds, center consoles, instrument panels, etc., can be quickly manufactured in small batches using silicone composite molding technology during the trial production process.
