NMT (Nano Molding Process): It is a process that combines metal and plastic using nanotechnology. The metal surface is first nanotreated, and then the plastic is directly injection molded onto the metal surface, allowing the metal and plastic to be molded together. Nanomolding technology can be divided into two types of processes based on the position of the plastic:
- Plastic is an integral molding with a non appearance surface
- Integrated molding with plastic as the exterior surface
Process characteristics of nano molding process:
- The product has a metallic appearance texture,
- Simplify the design of product components, making them lighter, thinner, shorter, and smaller, and more cost-effective than CNC machining methods.
- Reduce production costs and achieve high bonding strength, while significantly reducing the usage rate of related consumables
Applicable metal and resin materials of nano molding process:
- Aluminum, magnesium, copper, stainless steel, titanium, iron, galvanized sheet, brass;
- Aluminum alloys have strong adaptability, including the 1000 to 7000 series;
- Resin includes PPS PBT、PA6、PA66、PPA;
- PPS has a particularly strong adhesive strength (3000N/c ㎡).
Application of nano molding process:
Mobile phone cases, laptop cases, etc
